ClassicAuto Madrid

ClassicAuto is a motor show created in 2010. Originally known as Retromovil with more than 10 editions. It is a meeting point for classic car and motorbike lovers and collectors where you can buy or sell from parts, books, toys or manuals to collectors pieces. It takes place in February in the "Pabellón de Cristal" in "Casa de Campo".

It is a good place to buy original parts for restoration and to buy 70s Porsches, classic Minis or any other low cost classics but if you are looking for a Mercedes Gullwing, a Bugatti Atlantic or an other classic car jewel, it is better to go to other shows like "Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este" or auctions. Although you can find some special pieces like the Ferrari 250 GTO (330) or an Aston Martin DB5.

There used to be loads of visitors classics parked outside but that has changed in the last few years so if you are the owner of a classic car and want to either show it around or sell it you can park it inside for a price or just park outside the fence, PLEASE!!!

After visiting the 10 editions of Retromovil and both ClassicAuto, I can say that the last one has been one of the worse as it can be expected from the economical situation although the entrance price has gone up a little. In spite of this, it is always a nice plan even if you just go to look around.

Another point I would like to mention is the fact that for the last two years, when it has changed to ClassicAuto, they have lured us with pictures of a Lamborghini Miura (2010 edition) and a Ferrari 250 TR (2011) that were nowhere to be seen. Shame.
